This was an awesome engagement shoot! When Jana and Matt mentioned they had a placed picked out that involved trespassing we had no idea it would be one of the sweetest places we have ever photographed in Iowa. Unfortunately you’re going to have to wait too see all the various shots we were able to capture at this one location.

Brittany & Josh

Brittany & Josh were married at the Gateway Inn in Ames, Iowa This was a hot day! I think we sweated for the better half of the day. The actual ceremony was outside on the beautiful Garden Waterfall Patio. Brittany is the younger sister of one of our clients we shot back in 2009. We love shooting weddings for the same families! There is just something about knowing your clients and the relationships you build over the years. One cute note about Brittany & Josh… They both wore TOMS shoes on their wedding day, what a great and comfortable idea!

515 Alive

I arrived a bit late to 515 Alive, Des Moines, Iowa’s Urban and Electronic Festival for those of you that don’t know what I’m talking about. The success of the entire event is possible due to a gentleman by the name of Brad Goldman. I didn’t make it to last years event because I was in Germany, but I made sure I was going this year! I love shooting at night because it always pushes me to be a better photographer.

This one cracks me up! Too funny Brad!
